ECDL for Educators, Teacher Trainer

Teacher Trainer - Implementation & Support

For your information, a typical day covers:

An introduction to ECDL for Educators:

-        How the programme was written i.e. the need from teachers wanting the skills necessary to use computers as a teaching and learning tool.

-        How other commercial, corporate computer training programmes were not in context.

-        How the success of ECDL for Educators has been through its relevant exercises that have "immediate application to the classroom".

-        How the ECDL for Educators programme is split into modules, parts, examples and exercises

An introduction to ECDL:

-        Understanding the syllabus

-        Understanding the registration and assessment procedures

Understanding teachers as learners:

-        Teachers are different to other corporate learners - they have a positive approach to learning (that's their job!) and talk a language of their own

The ECDL for Educators CD:

-        Finding your way around the courseware CD

-        How to open and save the resource files

-        How to print the courseware files in both laser-ready and press-ready format (for commercial printers) etc

The ECDL for Educators web site:

-        As a licence holder and/or trainer you are most welcome to use any of the marketing material that we have on the web site, for your own use.

-        The "Press Releases" section contains professionally written text that has generated considerable interest in the product in the UK press which you are most welcome to use for your own press release statements.

-        The "FAQ"s section is a list of questions that you can direct enquirers to - and if you have any questions you would like to see added to this list, please let us know

The Modules:

-        This section of the Teacher Trainer day is hard and fast and takes most of the day.
We supply an overview of the exercises within each module, looking at the trainer guides as to how to time the course, and the different methods of delivery.
