No catch with Activ Testing!
Aston Swann recommends the ECDL testing software offered by Activ-Training and thought our readers would appreciate the following news item from our friends at Activ when they threw frisbees at us at the recent BCS Forum in Birmingham...!
Building on previous years’ success and consolidating its position as the fastest growing and most exciting provider in the BCS Qualifications market, Activ had a huge impact on this year’s Annual Forum at the ICC in Birmingham. With over 700 Test Centre delegates in attendance, the exhibitors’ area was as busy as ever, with new Skills and Product areas adding a useful facet to the traditional seminar set-up.
Speaking after the Forum, Activ Managing Director, Phil Jones commented, “It’s great to see that there is still huge enthusiasm for BCS Qualifications. I believe that Activ’s continued commitment to and partnership with the British Computer Society has allowed us to really focus our product and service offering, giving customers exactly what they want together with a name and reputation that they can trust.”
Offering its complete solutions for the ECDL and e-Citizen Qualifications, and for the first time working alongside specialist providers Aston Swann on a blended learning and testing approach specifically designed for schools, Activ showcased a number of exciting new product and service offerings at this year’s Forum, including:
The launch of ActivTest Version 5, highlighting Activ’s ongoing commitment to research and development, and to the reduction in Test Centre administration through a variety of new time and cost-saving features. These include: management of all BCS Qualifications through a single console, online/offline Test Centre synchronisation, resistance to loss of internet connectivity and power, dynamic allocation of skill cards (logbooks) and tests, and large scale deployability with multiple concurrent user support.
An exclusive deal with the BCS and Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) for the provision of a complete ECDL solution into Specialist Schools throughout the UK. A Skills Seminar held during the lunch break allowed Karen King from Activ to outline to a packed audience the variety of benefits and cost reductions available to Schools through this deal.
Our complete solution for the BCS e-Citizen Qualification. As the first provider of automated testing materials for the Qualification, and the market leader in terms of Test Centre usage, Activ used a lunchtime Product Seminar to display our paper based, e-Learning and Automated Testing products for the Qualification.
There’s No Catch! Our theme for the Forum proved a huge success, with many delegates making off with their ‘There’s No catch’ free frisbees. The underlying message that Activ provides straightforward pricing, with no set up or tie-in annual licence fees, free Managed Support and free Diagnostic Assessments, also seemed to strike a chord, with the largest number of delegates ever expressing a formal interest in our products.
