ECDL for Educators is a commercial product – therein lies both its success and its downfall by Debbie Skyrme, Aston Swann UK
Introduction: With years of experience of designing and delivering ICT skills training to teachers and schools, commercial organisation Aston Swann wonders why it still often has to battle to justify its thoughts and opinions with those of its peers in education. ECDL for Educators courseware co-author, Debbie Skyrme, recounts her product's history, explains its rationale and presents the findings of research into its use.
Naace is the National Association of Advisers for Computers in Education. ACITT is the Association for ICT in Education.
