ECDL for Educators, SETTAston Swann launches the ECDL for Educators courseware (v4) in Scotland at SETT 2003Following its phenomenal success in England and Wales, the popular European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) for Educators Courseware will be launching its' version 4 product in Scotland at SETT 2003.
The comprehensive seven-module IT skills training programme from Aston Swann is designed exclusively to help Teachers, Support Staff, School Managers and Administrators develop practical computing skills for teaching and learning in the classroom. This sector-specific courseware for the ECDL qualification enables candidates to acquire practical skills that can immediately be put to use in school such as creating lesson plans and worksheets and managing classroom data using a spreadsheet. “ECDL for Educators Courseware is a popular choice for schools as it teaches ICT skills that can be transferred directly to the classroom,” explains Debbie Skyrme, Education Programme Developer, Aston Swann. “The rapid adoption of the courseware in England and Wales and the feedback we have received has prompted us to launch the programme in Scotland at this year’s SETT show.” Aston Swann
has over ten years’ experience delivering computer training to the education
sector. The ECDL for Educators
Courseware is a tailored learning programme for the established ECDL
qualification, recognised by employers in the business world throughout Europe
as an illustration of employee competence in computing.
The British Computer Society manages the implementation of ECDL in the
